Romantic Bali

“It is just too short!” That was what my Wife said to me after the honeymoon. Well I had to agree with her…And No, it was not about me…

After an exhausting Wedding over the weekend, we departed for our long awaited getaway to the Lovely Bali on Monday morning. Yes, I am now legally and happily married to the love of my life. (Come on; let me be mushy a little!)

Anyway, since it is our first honeymoon, I didn’t want to do a budget trip and wanted to maximize the time spent in Bali. Taking The Rabbit’s advice from my Bachelor Party in Patong, I decided to find a flight from Singapore that leaves in the Morning and to return home at Night. That left me with Garuda Indonesia as the only sensible non-budget airlines as a choice.

I’ve heard lots of unpleasant news about Garuda being unsafe, dirty and having a bad quality of service but I went ahead to take it after the Phuket trip; Iswandi and I had an almost “crash landing” on Jetstar when we arrived at Phuket!

I gotta say that I am quite happy with Garuda as a whole, with an exception that the In-flight movie got cut off and restarted twice during the flight…it sucked to fast forward (16x) the speed to reach the last watched scene when the show is almost over…

Arriving in Bali is an incredibly good surprise. The Chauffer of Le Jardin Boutique Villas greeted us and carried our luggage to the car. And we even got the driver to do a couple of stopovers along the way, one to buy an Indonesian SIM card, and the other for currency exchange.

It was a 40 min long drive from Denpasar to Seminyak and by the time we reached, it was just in time to check in. First time I ever stayed in a private pool Villa and I gotta say that it was just freakin awesome! Strangely as I walked into the villa, one song kept playing in my head, Boys II Men’s: I’ll Make Love To You…

I’ll make love 2 you like you want me to
And I’ll hold you tight, baby, all through the night
I’ll make love 2 you when you want me to
And I will not let go ’til you tell me to
